Job Overview:
As a vital member of the Governance team, you will provide essential assistance in navigating routine legal matters. Under the guidance of a supervisor, you will address standard legal challenges.

Your responsibilities will include researching and interpreting legal resources such as statutes, judicial rulings, legal publications, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to draft various legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, and contracts.

A bachelor's degree along with 5-8 years of relevant experience in the legal field or a related discipline is preferred.
You should be well-versed in a range of concepts, practices, and procedures pertinent to the legal profession. You will rely on your experience and judgment to effectively plan and achieve objectives.
Your role may involve supervising and directing the work of others, requiring a significant degree of creativity and independence. Typically, you will report to an attorney.

Daily Responsibilities:

- Addressing OSHA complaints
- Managing Fire Department Violations
- Engaging in extensive writing and editing tasks
- Collaborating on multiple projects with tight deadlines

For OSHA-related matters, you will draft responses to complaints, liaising with sites and legal teams to resolve issues efficiently.

Expect a turnaround of 5-7 days for these tasks.

Fire Department Violations:
- Example: Addressing non-functional sprinklers
- You will be responsible for drafting correspondence to sites regarding compliance timelines and persistently following up to ensure issues are resolved.
The team typically handles 15-20 complaints weekly, with you managing approximately 5 complaints daily.
Your time will be divided as follows:
- 20-25 hours on resolving complaints
- 20-25 hours on monitoring Fire Department Violations

Ideal Candidate:

The best candidate will be proactive, comfortable making calls, and persistent in following up. You should possess a strong understanding of regulations and the ability to interpret them effectively. Reliability and assertiveness are key traits, as is the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes.
