Customer Communications Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Customer Communications Specialist to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for communicating real-time information to the public, customer care representatives, and airport operations staff during Air Train Irregular Operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Passenger / CCS Communications: Ensure that all affected parties remain informed with real-time information, providing them with information that can be used to support their travel needs.
  • Documentation Administration: Support various non-technical jobs, including asset review and system availability reviews using information provided by the Newark Availability Reporting Tool (NART) system.
  • Communication Equipment, Operational Verification: Work with maintenance and operations staff to ensure that communication equipment is operationally ready, including daily sound checks of train cars, stations, and Emergency-Call systems.

Requirements:

  • Proactive communicator
  • Must react to situations by instinct, cannot hesitate when information is needed by the public immediately following an event
  • Works well with maintenance and operations staff, understanding the hierarchy of the organization
  • Self-starter capable of anticipating customer and company needs
