Job Title: Blood Collection Specialist

As a Blood Collection Specialist with the American Red Cross, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of blood donations. Your primary responsibility will be to work with our team to transport and set up equipment at blood drive locations, create a welcoming and comfortable environment for donors, and follow all safety procedures to collect lifesaving blood donations.

We offer paid phlebotomy training, so no prior medical experience is required. You will work in a dynamic team environment, collaborating with colleagues to achieve our mission of providing humanitarian aid to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming and friendly environment for donors
  • Ensure the safe and efficient collection of blood donations
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols
  • May drive Red Cross vehicles and set up/take down equipment at blood drive locations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
  • A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
  • Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs
