We are seeking a highly driven and analytical professional to fill the role of Food and Beverage Manager. This individual will be a proactive problem solver, leading by example, striving for excellence, and continuously motivating their team members. They will play a crucial role in providing strategic leadership to meet the financial and quality objectives of our Food and Beverage operations. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient and effective management of all aspects of the hotel/resort's Food and Beverage services while enhancing the existing operational model, aligning with the mission, values, and standards of Benchmark.
Your Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly meetings, sharing updates about upcoming events with your team.
- Provide information regarding Food and Beverage capabilities and programs to other departments and clients.
- Address the needs and requests of guests and potential guests.
- Ensure that food, beverage, and service quality standards reflect a first-class operation.
- Implement effective cost management strategies for food, beverage, and labor.
- Understand and interpret profit & loss statements, labor reports, and cost reduction strategies.
- Develop efficient systems for inventory management, receiving, and product utilization.
- Establish productivity standards for Food and Beverage personnel.
- Oversee the implementation of company-wide systems.
- Create appealing, high-quality, and marketable menus for regular and special events.
- Foster a welcoming atmosphere that encourages employee commitment and loyalty.
- Manage hiring and training initiatives for Food and Beverage staff.
- Develop management skills among team members.
- Supervise weekly payroll for the department.
- Assist in all Food and Beverage outlets as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience as a Food and Beverage Manager in a luxury hotel or full-service resort.
- Familiarity with Micros systems.
- Ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Positive and approachable demeanor.
- Strong organizational skills.
