**POSITION OVERVIEW**

KFA is seeking both entry-level and experienced Civil Engineers with 0-4 years of expertise in drainage and stormwater management to join our team.

**Core Responsibilities:**
  • Performing drainage analysis and design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, detailing, and producing plan sets.
  • Collaborating under the guidance of a Professional Engineer and with technical staff to ensure quality designs and plan interpretations.
  • Assisting in various assignment tasks, including planning, budgeting, and schedule management.
  • Potential tasks may involve stormwater master planning, urban drainage design, roadway and rail hydrologic and hydraulic design, FEMA floodplain studies, and technical reviews.
**Required Qualifications:**
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 0-4 years of experience in drainage hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, design, and plan production.
  • EIT Certification or the ability to obtain it within six months of employment.
  • Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to foster relationships with team members.
**Preferred Skills:**
  • Experience with MicroStation and ORD.
  • Proficiency in HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
  • Familiarity with 2D modeling tools such as HEC-RAS 2D, ICM, or SWMM.
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS.
  • Background in TxDOT or municipal design.
