Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience in engineering by participating in data collection, processing, and evaluation, while assisting in the preliminary drafting of technical reports, plans, and other contractual documents. Your level of involvement will depend on your exposure and experience with the assigned tasks.
  • Conduct engineering calculations and prepare estimates.
  • Create drawings by modifying existing projects, implementing corrections from redlined documents, or developing designs from sketches.
  • Ensure compliance of designs with company and client production and design standards.
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control by verifying design methodologies, calculations, and outcomes.
  • Interpret and analyze drawings from various disciplines for specific projects and respond to inquiries accordingly.
  • Conduct field inspections and surveys, gather measurements, photographs, and notes; document findings in reports.
  • Research and apply relevant code provisions to design processes.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project designs.
  • Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D on a daily basis.
  • Investigate design alternatives and document findings for project management.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement standard engineering techniques and procedures, using judgment to adapt and modify existing designs.
  • Assist Project Engineers and leaders in the design creation process as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Engineer-in-Training designation preferred; valid driver's license is a plus.
  • Interest in Civil/Site Engineering projects; prior experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient in CAD software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and WaterCAD.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D software.
  • Experience in Land Development projects.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for effective communication in job-related contexts.
