OVERVIEW
As a Civil Engineering Associate at Adilstone Group, you will be an integral part of our engineering team, collaborating closely with Project Managers and Engineering Designers to develop innovative and effective engineering solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include producing engineering designs, construction documentation, and technical reports, all within a collaborative and dynamic workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Engineers in generating project plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical documentation (including calculations).
- Develop viable design alternatives and evaluate key parameters such as typical sections, alignments, right-of-way needs, and associated costs.
- Conduct site investigations and prepare feasibility assessments for upcoming projects.
- Perform field visits to assess existing site conditions and monitor construction progress.
- Organize and maintain project folder systems effectively.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers to create civil engineering designs.
- Prepare Civil Submittal Packages for review and approval.
- Assist in training interns and managing their workload.
- Utilize AutoCAD as necessary to address feedback and update plans.
- Track efficiency and workload in conjunction with Project Engineers.
- Coordinate with the Survey Department regarding necessary work.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, with 1-4 years of relevant experience.
- Possession of E.I.T. certification or a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Experience in civil design, particularly in commercial and/or residential projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Skilled in producing engineering drawings and calculations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, across all organizational levels.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptable to changes in work assignments on short notice as project needs evolve.
