The successful candidate will lead project teams, manage consultants, and mentor staff to ensure the effective delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise a diverse team, including engineers and technicians, ensuring effective workload management and professional growth.
- Ensure quality assurance across engineering tasks, focusing on design, construction oversight, and analytical evaluations.
- Conduct comprehensive engineering analyses and feasibility assessments for wastewater and civil projects, identifying potential challenges and areas for enhancement.
- Develop and review detailed engineering documentation, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates for infrastructure initiatives.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to guarantee compliance with environmental standards and permitting protocols.
- Oversee the construction and implementation of projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Perform field inspections to assess existing infrastructure and determine maintenance and improvement requirements.
- Stay informed on the latest trends and technologies in civil and environmental engineering.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution, with a minimum of six years of relevant engineering experience.
- Advanced degree in a related field is preferred, along with supervisory experience.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Professional Engineer License in the State of Texas is required.
Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles related to civil and environmental project planning and execution.
- Understanding of wastewater treatment processes and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering software and analytical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Work Environment:
This position involves a mix of office and fieldwork, requiring adaptability to various environmental conditions.
