Position Overview

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our esteemed client's dynamic engineering team in San Antonio, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, encompassing land and site development, municipal engineering, hydrology and hydraulics, dams and reservoirs, and civil engineering expert witness work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and planning efforts for general civil projects, including site layouts, horizontal and vertical control, grading and drainage, paving, site utilities, and associated civil engineering activities.
  • Exercise sound judgment in evaluating, selecting, and modifying standard engineering techniques and procedures to ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Make critical decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as required.
  • Function as a Project Manager on various projects, with a focus on collaborative teamwork and efficient project execution.
  • Supervise a small team of professionals and technicians when necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support the success of the engineering team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field of study (Consideration given to civil engineers with 5+ years of experience in lieu of degree requirement).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in general civil engineering and engineering project management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas or Pennsylvania.
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications related to Civil Engineering, such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and ArcGIS.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
