Job Summary

As a Staff Accountant II at Achieve, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations. This position involves performing month-end account closing activities, preparing monthly accruals, and completing cash reconciliations. You will also support the external audit process and develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end account closing activities and journal entries
  • Prepare monthly accruals for large spends on marketing, legal, consulting, and general expenses
  • Complete cash reconciliations
  • Support monthly variance analysis of financial statements, investigating and commenting on variances
  • Maintain and update the balance sheet account reconciliations to support GAAP compliance
  • Support external audit in compiling reports, schedules, and conducting research
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Participate as a support role on special projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3+ years of strong general ledger experience
  • Results-oriented, able to manage timelines, and proactively communicate to various team members
  • Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and drive to deliver high-quality work
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment
  • Experience with Oracle or similar ERP is needed
  • Experience in the financial services industry a plus

We are proudly offering hybrid options in the Phoenix, AZ, and San Francisco, CA metro markets. In other locations throughout the country, we offer work from home in the following states: WA, NV, UT.

Salary Range: $70,000 to $75,000 annually + benefits. This information represents the expected salary range for this role. Should we decide to make an offer for employment, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
