About the Role:

The Morton Arboretum is seeking a highly skilled Marketing Manager to drive awareness and participation with a diversity of audiences through paid marketing efforts and data analysis. This role will be responsible for developing and optimizing departmental data analysis efforts to support marketing strategies, overseeing integrated marketing campaigns with a digital focus, and contributing towards team goals of meeting earned revenue and paid attendance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and analyze sales/attendance patterns and pacing, campaign results, and ticket sales history to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Build and generate reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) including visitation data, public programs, return on advertising spend, and more.
  • Lead visitor data analysis and reporting projects in coordination with the internal team.
  • Work with IT to improve the data intelligence available for relevant, personalized, real-time marketing and conduct ongoing tests to measure, optimize, and increase the effectiveness of CRM efforts.
  • Plan, budget, and implement segmented multi-channel marketing and prospecting campaigns across traditional and digital advertising channels.
  • Act as the lead contact for advertising agency and collaborate with in-house creative teams spanning design, videography, social media, and brand marketing.
  • Write and review advertising and web copy, creative briefs, and marketing plans in support of organizational campaigns.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to identify and advance marketing-related objectives and promote effective flow of information.
  • Ensure brand standards and brand communication strategies are consistently maintained and applied through all touch points and communication platforms.
  • Provide training and support to CRM users in the department to ensure proper utilization of the CRM system and serve as a subject matter expert on CRM-related questions and inquiries from team members.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing to prepare the annual marketing budget. Monitor and manage expenses, working with the Marketing Specialist.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the Arboretum's employee core values to be inclusive, take ownership, work together, keep learning, and make the Arboretum exceptional.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required. 5+ years professional marketing experience required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Salesforce or other CRM database experience required.
  • Comfortable leveraging large amounts of data to drive decisions and a passion for continuous testing and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing with understanding of digital advertising, marketing/sales funnel, data analytics, performance measurements, and A/B testing.
  • Strong integrated marketing background with experience and knowledge to manage marketing mix on digital marketing and direct response including email, print, content, social media, video ads, programmatic, mobile, PPC/SEM as well as traditional advertising, OOH, TV, radio, etc.
  • Strong marketing copywriting skills and experience writing creative briefs.
  • Ability to act independently, take initiative, and meet changing priorities.
