Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geo-Environmental and Civil Engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in geotechnical design and construction, and be eager to advance their career within a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer geotechnical expertise in the design and construction phases of various projects.
  • Oversee subsurface investigations and soil testing initiatives.
  • Compile comprehensive geotechnical reports.
  • Prepare permit documentation and engineering calculations for diverse developments.
  • Create engineering drawings and specifications for construction undertakings.
  • Support civil-site design projects to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address client challenges and develop tailored solutions.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff members.
  • Manage project tasks and timelines effectively.
  • Implement quality assurance and control measures.
  • Exhibit strong technical writing, data management, and communication skills; engage in proposal development and business growth activities.
  • Occasional travel may be required, primarily within the upper Midwest region.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Advanced education or specialized training in relevant engineering fields.
  • A minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in providing geotechnical guidance.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with subsurface explorations and geotechnical laboratory testing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and OSHA physical examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in renewable energy projects, such as wind or solar.
  • Familiarity with solid waste management initiatives.
  • Experience collaborating with regulatory agencies on construction permits.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current refresher training.
