We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN Medical Oncology Department Head to join our team at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to clinical and non-clinical teams of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure quality patient care.
- Delegate appropriate duties to clinical and non-clinical teams based on their assessed skills and abilities.
- Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff, providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching.
- Participate in the hiring process for new staff members, conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
Requirements:
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Experience in a leadership role, preferably in a hospital setting.
