Medical Oncology RN-Clinic Float Job Description

About the Role:

As a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) at US Oncology, Inc, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with cancer. This is a full-time position with Monday-Friday hours (8:30am-5pm) and no weekends, call, or major holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their current status and medical history.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Manage patient medication refill requests and record relevant information in the patient chart.
  • Facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure timely and effective care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
