Job Overview:

This dynamic role at WSU Tech involves a full-time commitment where you will be responsible for the coordination, planning, and execution of classroom instruction and related activities within the Information Technology program. As an IT Essentials Instructor, you will also provide technical assistance to students and staff. Your responsibilities will encompass teaching, academic planning, and engagement in various professional activities.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Creating course syllabi and ensuring the quality of the curriculum
  • Maintaining subject matter expertise and engaging students effectively
  • Collaborating with academic leaders to enhance the curriculum
  • Conducting classes according to the established schedule and approved syllabi
  • Working with various certifications and leveraging teaching experience
  • Exhibiting strong communication and organizational abilities
  • Demonstrating proficiency in essential software applications and the capacity to work independently
  • Meeting deadlines and performing efficiently under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Cisco's CCNA and/or CCNP are highly desirable. Experience in adult education is a plus.

Additional Qualifications:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Strong organizational capabilities and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

Ability to work autonomously and adhere to deadlines
