About the Role

This is a part-time opportunity to teach in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. As a Maternal Child Clinical Faculty member, you will be responsible for implementing the College's philosophy, curriculum, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.

Responsibilities
  • Teach maternal child nursing courses to undergraduate nursing students
  • Develop and implement clinical experiences for students
  • Evaluate and provide feedback to students on their performance
  • Collaborate with clinical partners to ensure high-quality learning experiences
  • Stay current with agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations
  • Grade student assignments and provide timely feedback
  • May teach didactic course content under supervision of course coordinator
Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Kansas
  • At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills
