Infrastructure Systems Engineer Position

Join our team as an Infrastructure Systems Engineer, where you will be required to work on-site daily. This role does not necessitate certifications, although they are advantageous. An initial Secret clearance is required, with the potential for upgrade to TS/SCI. Experience with SSCM/MECM is essential, and please note that this is not a help desk position.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in VMWare and Active Directory is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience is expected.

You're an ideal candidate if you:

  • Possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair various devices, particularly printers and workstations.
  • Take pride in supporting professionals who influence America's foreign policy through their work.
  • Understand the importance of securing servers and workstations through effective patch management and security monitoring.
  • Have hands-on experience with Active Directory, including user account management and security group oversight.
  • Are passionate about problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer support.

Essential Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • 5+ years of IT experience is necessary.
  • Active Top Secret clearance or eligibility for TS clearance is required.
  • Possession of Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification is a plus.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification is also advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Active Directory in user account management is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of the Windows platform and troubleshooting desktop issues is expected.
  • Experience in System Administration, including resource monitoring, log auditing, and security management, is necessary.

Additional Skills That Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Experience with VMware Vsphere and virtual machine troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

Your Daily Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Reviewing daily risk assessments and addressing compliance variances.
  • Providing support for servers across multiple networks and classifications.
  • Assisting with problem escalation beyond initial help desk support.
  • Collaborating with network services and software engineering to resolve issues.
  • Simulating user problems to troubleshoot operational challenges.
  • Documenting and maintaining procedural manuals.
