About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to become a part of our DISA JSP ETM team in the role of Telecommunications Infrastructure Engineer. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in supporting a significant digital modernization initiative essential to our operations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and design of cable infrastructure systems that align with the strategic and operational goals of our clients.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments for data gathering and evaluation of telecommunications and building technology systems, ensuring project scopes are clearly defined and adhered to.
  • Oversee and maintain inside plant cable infrastructure, which includes conduit, cable trays, copper, coaxial, fiber optics, and all related components.
  • Facilitate the implementation of Engineering Installation Plans (EIPs) for the setup of cable racks, wiring, and necessary testing during the installation phase.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure that cable infrastructure designs comply with all technical and regulatory standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in planning and designing cable infrastructure within a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience in conducting site evaluations to assess telecommunications and technology systems, equipment, and components.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that foster effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Experience in managing multiple technical projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in maintaining inside plant cable infrastructure, including conduit, cable trays, copper, coaxial, fiber, and associated elements.
  • Experience in developing EIPs necessary for the installation of cable racks, wiring, and testing protocols during installation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of codes and technologies relevant to the telecommunications and building technologies design and construction industry.
  • Exceptional skills in brownfield infrastructure design, coupled with a strong analytical approach to problem-solving.
