Position Overview

At Shady Grove Reproductive Sci Center, P.C., we are dedicated to enhancing lives through our commitment to exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant who is both skilled and compassionate to support our clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a high volume of phlebotomy procedures with precision.
  • Maintain and organize supplies for blood collection stations.
  • Assist in the clinical management of patients undergoing fertility treatments.
  • Ensure proper handling and dispatch of laboratory specimens.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and couples regarding procedures and physician directives.
  • Deliver pre-operative and post-operative education to patients.
  • Conduct semen preparation and assist in intrauterine insemination setups.
  • Monitor vital signs and offer general clinical support.
  • Utilize computer systems for laboratory entries and label printing.
  • Foster a supportive environment by offering emotional and psychological assistance to patients and their families.
  • Work independently to meet program objectives.
  • Promote and uphold excellence in customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient phlebotomy skills are essential.
  • High School diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Attention to detail and proficiency in data entry with computer applications.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with medical terminology.
