Key Responsibilities:

  • Register and check-out guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Provide accurate and complete information to guests and respond to their inquiries promptly.
  • Complete all tasks on the overnight checklist by the end of the shift.
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests.
  • Follow established key control policies and ensure proper credit policies are followed.
  • Be familiar with all fire and emergency procedures.
  • Open, secure, and balance the daily shift bank, including counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Monitor room availability throughout the shift and review the selling status of the hotel using the yield management system.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments via telephone and/or radio.
  • Be knowledgeable about the immediate area, services, attractions, and events.
  • Be flexible and able to work overnights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Familiarize yourself with hotel systems and operations and enter information accurately.
