Position Overview
  • Evaluate incoming claims to confirm that all necessary documentation and details are provided.
  • Process and oversee claims related to shortages based on investigation reports, theft notifications, and warehouse incident documentation.
  • Examine and handle damage claims based on return authorizations and quality assurance reports.
  • Engage with logistics providers to ensure prompt and precise resolutions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of all claim denials and communicate final outcomes to clients when applicable.
  • Challenge unjust claim resolutions to reverse denials and negotiate settlements.
  • Analyze data to assess claim legitimacy; review independent reports, including video evidence, written incident summaries, and valuation assessments.
  • Prepare detailed claim analyses for monthly client reporting.
  • Operate within company policies to review contractual agreements of customers, shippers, consignees, or carriers, and assess physical damage reports alongside cargo claim findings.
  • Inform all relevant parties of claim submissions and/or rejections, clearly advising claimants on the best strategies to minimize losses.
  • Elevate high-value denials to management for potential recourse discussions.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including essential reporting functions, formatting, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables.
  • Preferred experience of 1+ years in freight claims processing.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organizational skills, cross-functional collaboration, and project management capabilities.
