Job Title: Regional Program Specialist for Service to Armed Forces and International Services

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Program Specialist to join our team in the Pennsylvania Region. As a key member of our Service to Armed Forces and International Services (SAF-IS) team, you will be responsible for delivering American Red Cross programs and services to meet the needs of United States military members, veterans, and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of American Red Cross programs and services to military members, veterans, and their families.
  • Manage volunteers and work with other Red Cross departments to support strong visibility for SAF-IS throughout the military community.
  • Serve as part of the Hero Care Center Contingency Team and provide casework expertise and manage volunteers during surge situations and disaster responses.
  • Support Disaster Cycle Services as necessary in accordance with the DCS COOP SAF responsibilities.
  • Maintain deployment readiness at all times by completing medical requirements, clearance requirements, and ongoing training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, human resources management, community organization, social or health sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years related experience.
  • Strong computer skills, public speaking skills, and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well in an individual or team environment and adapt to new situations quickly.
  • Flexibility to accommodate short notice assignments and long periods of time away from home.
