Global Mobility Specialist

Job Summary:

ElasticSearch Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Global Mobility Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing support in the areas of global mobility, including domestic and international transfers, permanent residence sponsorship, international tax, and relocations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as primary contact on all aspects of US and global immigration, including work visas, registration, and social security to ensure company compliance.
  • Act as liaison between local teams and internal colleagues to drive immigration, tax, and relocation business needs.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain mobility practices, policies, and procedures that meet current program needs.
  • Execute the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process for all new hires through Workday and rehires, reviewing I-9 forms and identification documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships with outside immigration and tax vendors and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of immigration-related information through Workday.
  • Recommend alternatives to business leaders for employees whose visa applications are not approved or renewals and extensions are approaching maximum duration.
  • Track and review vendor invoices related to global immigration and tax activities to document cost allocations and develop timely payment processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of previous experience as an HR Professional in a fast-paced, growing company.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to apply resolutions.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of Workday preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills, with ability to work cross-collaboratively across multiple internal and external teams.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Experience with developing policy, training, and communications.
  • Able to work independently with little or no supervision.
