As a vital member of our team at Soap Creek Resources, the Junior Project Engineer will operate under general supervision, taking charge of various projects encompassing process engineering, design, project oversight, initiation, and evaluation. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with established standards and procedures while maintaining precision and organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee project management activities from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring adherence to contractual deadlines, monitoring and controlling project expenses, validating design and equipment procurement, reviewing technical drawings, and maintaining comprehensive documentation; prioritize accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Travel as necessary to facilitate project execution. Offer technical and field support, including training for clients in the maintenance, installation, initiation, and operation of extraction processes and related systems. This may also involve inspection of fabrication.
  • Conduct a variety of engineering calculations and assessments pertinent to process design and equipment selection.
  • Deliver engineering assistance to clients, as well as to the Sales, Research & Development, and Aftermarket divisions concerning extraction methodologies.
  • Respond proactively to inquiries and collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to develop effective designs that fulfill project specifications.
  • Execute additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in essential skills, including:
    • Project scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Creation of Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Exhibit professional integrity and ethical standards.
  • Capable of fostering and maintaining productive relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Adept at reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical and commercial agreements.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in a second language (preferably European or Asian) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to comprehend and execute oral and written directives; convey technical information succinctly and clearly.
  • Required proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and CAD Vault.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, both domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time, in office and industrial settings.
