As a key member of our team at Soap Creek Resources, the Junior Project Engineer will operate under general supervision, overseeing a variety of projects that encompass process engineering, design, project oversight, initiation, and evaluation. The role is crucial in ensuring precision, organization, and adherence to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project initiatives from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring adherence to contractual deadlines, monitoring and controlling project expenditures, verifying design integrity, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.
  • Travel as necessary to facilitate project execution, providing technical support and training to clients regarding the maintenance, installation, initiation, and operation of Extraction processes, which may also involve inspection of fabrication.
  • Conduct various engineering calculations and analyses pertinent to process design and equipment selection.
  • Offer engineering assistance to clients and collaborate with Sales, R&D, and Aftermarket teams regarding Extraction processes.
  • Respond proactively to inquiries and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective designs that fulfill project specifications.
  • Execute additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in key skills such as:
    • Project scheduling, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Creation of Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Exhibit professional integrity and ethical standards.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain productive working relationships with colleagues, clients, and suppliers.
  • Capable of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical and commercial agreements.
  • Fluent communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language (European or Asian) is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities; adept at comprehending and executing oral and written directives; capable of conveying technical information clearly and succinctly.
  • Required proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Preferred familiarity with Autodesk Inventor and CAD Vault.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, both domestically and internationally, up to 25% of the time, in office and industrial settings.
