Job Description Summary:
This role involves delivering clinical services in an outpatient environment while overseeing psychiatry trainees.

Education/Certification:
Must possess an M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree along with ABPN board certification or eligibility in General Psychiatry. A valid medical license in the State of Kansas is required or must be eligible for licensure.

Work Experience:
Experience in outpatient settings is essential.

Key Duties:
1. Collaborate closely with the Director of the Division of Outpatient Services.
2. Provide direct patient care within the outpatient service areas.
3. Supervise resident physicians in various settings including clinics, didactic sessions, and individual therapy.
4. Create a clinical practice that offers a superior educational experience for psychiatry residents and students; instruct residents and students in areas of psychiatric expertise through lectures and clinical interactions.
5. Be available to meet departmental clinical needs in outpatient and outreach environments.
6. Develop a specific area of clinical and/or research expertise and recognition.
7. Engage in clinical and administrative on-call duties, weekend coverage, continuous performance improvement, and participate in Medical School and Department Committees as necessary.
8. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Department Chair.
