Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Assistant Professor to join our team at the University of Kansas Medical Center. As a Clinical Assistant Professor, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, educating medical students and residents, and contributing to the academic mission of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-house cross-coverage and admitting care for General Internal Medicine patients from 8 pm to 8 am in a 5-7 day on/off sequence, including weekends.
  • Train and educate medical students and residents in patient care settings and in formal and informal group education formats.
  • Interact with residents in a triage and supervisory role, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to departmental meetings and discussions.
Requirements
  • MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent.
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine residency.
  • Hold or be eligible for a Kansas medical license.
  • Hold or be eligible for American Board of Internal Medicine certification.
