Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician I to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our Psychiatric Services Inpatient Unit, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs, you will perform various duties to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients.
  • You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and observation skills are essential for this role, as you will be responsible for reporting patient care observations and deviations from patient plans of care.
  • You will also be required to remain calm and think effectively in high-stress situations.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Health or mental health care experience is preferred, and a Certificate in mental health technology or a related field is highly desirable.
  • You will be required to obtain BLS Certification through the American Heart Association and complete an endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification within one month of hire.
Competitive Differentials
  • $4.25 per hour for evening shifts
  • $8.00 per hour for night shifts
  • $4.75 per hour for weekend shifts

Please note that this is a competitive differential rate, and actual pay may vary based on experience and qualifications.
