The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician I to join our team. As a Psychiatric Technician I, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs.
  • Perform various duties to support the established methods and procedures of the Psychiatric Services Inpatient Unit.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and support.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Document patient observations, care plans, and other relevant information.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Health or mental health care experience preferred.
  • Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant preferred.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association required within 1 month of hire.
  • Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification required within 1 month of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and observation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and think and act effectively in high-stress situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.

Compensation

Competitive pay rates, including:

  • $25.66 per hour.
  • Evening differential: $4.25.
  • Night differential: $8.00.
  • Weekend differential: $4.75.
