Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Technician to join our team at Rutland Regional Medical Center. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs.
  • Perform various duties to support the care and well-being of patients, including observing and reporting patient care observations.
  • Remain calm and think effectively in high-stress situations, utilizing excellent interpersonal and observation skills.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, utilizing strong verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Health or mental health care experience preferred.
  • Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant preferred.
  • BLS Certification through American Heart Association required within 1 month of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and observation skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and think effectively in high-stress situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.
