Business Operations Manager

As a key member of the Amedisys care center operations and management team, the Business Operations Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate various administrative functions, including billing, purchasing, human resources, communication systems, space utilization, administrative support, and mail services.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in office management, with a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare environment. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all new and current employee documentation required by Human Resources and regulatory agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate systems and procedures with medical records, data entry, claims review, and personnel and human resource functions to ensure efficient and compliant billing and payroll operations.
  • Ensure continuous coverage in all administrative areas through appropriate staffing assignments and workload distribution.
  • Supervise non-clinical staff and ensure appropriate orientation for all new staff.
  • Screen, interview, and make hiring decisions for non-clinical and administrative staff.
  • Conduct performance appraisals/reviews as necessary and in compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Maintain an ongoing evaluation of space, supplies, and equipment needs for the care center.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of office or related experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong computer and software skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
  • Medical billing and financial management experience.
