Role Overview: We are in search of a dedicated and enthusiastic Admissions Advisor to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding prospective students through their educational paths, from initial inquiries to successful enrollment. As an Admissions Advisor, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive information about our offerings, addressing any concerns, and facilitating the admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage Prospective Students: Provide a warm welcome and assist potential students by delivering detailed information about V School's programs in cybersecurity, web development, and user design experience.
  • Understand Student Needs: Utilize insightful questioning to grasp students' interests, career aspirations, and educational requirements.
  • Program Explanation: Clearly articulate the specifics of our programs, including the flipped classroom model, mastery-based approach, and the certifications available.
  • Handle Objections: Address common concerns related to cost, time commitment, and job prospects with empathy and thorough information.
  • Encourage and Motivate: Inspire prospective students to undertake the open book aptitude test and share success stories from alumni to motivate them.
  • Support Admissions Process: Guide students through the admissions journey, ensuring they possess all necessary information and support to make informed choices.
  • Follow-Up: Maintain consistent communication with prospective students to track their progress through the admissions process and address any further inquiries or concerns.
  • Collaborate: Work in conjunction with the marketing and admissions teams to enhance outreach strategies and support enrollment objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in education, counseling, marketing, or a related field is preferred, though not mandatory. Relevant certifications and/or equivalent experience in admissions advising, student counseling, or a similar role are also acceptable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in admissions advising, student counseling, or a related position. Experience within the tech education sector is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, capable of conveying complex information in an accessible manner.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service skills with a genuine commitment to assisting others in achieving their educational and career aspirations.
  • Organizational Skills: Proficient in managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
  • Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM systems, MS Office, and virtual communication tools.
  • Passion for Education: A fervent enthusiasm for tech education and a dedication to student success.
  • Financial Navigation: Experience in guiding students through tuition and financing options, aiding them in understanding and navigating various plans to make their education financially feasible.
