KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and generate a variety of cost estimates for solar initiatives valued between $10 million and $200 million.
  • Deliver estimates throughout different phases of the project, including design build and conceptual/schematic stages.
  • Monitor and adjust estimates as design documents evolve, incorporating value-engineering assessments.
  • Collaborate with design teams and stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines.
  • Examine final construction documents and specifications to define the complete scope of work, leading pre-bid and post-bid contractor discussions.
  • Manage the sourcing of electrical materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
  • Engage professionally with project owners, design consultants, and team members to foster effective communication.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in estimating within the construction sector.
  • Experience in the solar sector is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential, including familiarity with construction project management tools and estimating software.
  • Experience with software such as HCSS Heavy Bid, Accubid, MS Project, Primavera, AGTEK, and BlueBeam is beneficial.
  • Strong background in estimating and project scheduling.
  • Ability to proficiently read, interpret, and understand architectural plans.
  • Capability to comprehend specifications and related subject matter.
  • Expertise in conducting precise quantity survey take-offs.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a signing bonus.
