Key Responsibilities
  • Establish goals for customer satisfaction in estimating
  • Lead the development of precise pricing for design-phase or GMP estimates
  • Maintain industry contacts to ensure access to the latest market pricing and trends
  • Identify and resolve issues amidst incomplete information and uncertainty
  • Schedule estimating deliverables and balance workload effectively
  • Manage the department to ensure all staff members execute their responsibilities
  • Communicate with operations staff to plan work schedules

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 15-20 years of relevant experience
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to estimate various types of construction projects, including residential high-rises, healthcare facilities, interiors, and institutional buildings
  • Knowledge of suitable electrical contractors and suppliers for diverse projects
  • Familiarity with both union and merit shop electrical contractors is preferred
  • Understanding of typical electrical pricing for the aforementioned project types, including both union and merit shop projects
  • Capability to interpret concept and schematic drawings to develop detailed estimates
  • Familiarity with On-Screen Take-off software is preferred

Salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
