Job Description

At Nevell Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead our site projects. This individual will leverage extensive knowledge of construction management principles and demonstrated mastery of communication and workflow coordination to execute strategically coordinated procedures and ensure successful and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold Nevell Group's Core Values
  • Review contract conditions and ensure project and team compliance with all contract terms
  • Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchases
  • Manage material orders and tracking
  • Create man-loaded project schedules and manage all subsequent schedule revisions
  • Create monthly progress billing with Nevell Group foremen for management review
  • Forecast project financial performance over the life of the project
  • Coordinate with Nevell Group field and BIM divisions to deliver required project design
  • Implement job procedures, techniques, and document controls to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, material delivery, and flow of project information
  • Manage QC reports with information from the field
  • Coordinate preparation of front-end documents with the Safety Manager, including AHA and IIIP's Safety Manuals, QAQC Program
  • Supervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, Change Orders
  • Prepare submittals
  • Review and price all project cost/impact events
  • Excel in communication at all levels to develop and maintain good relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors
  • Manage, train, and supervise project teams
  • Organize regular meetings for management and subcontractors
  • Direct preconstruction services and activities as required
  • Avoid or mitigate claims and conflict
  • Complete all job close-out procedures
  • Conduct warranty follow-up
  • Maintain timely and accurate reporting to management

Requirements:

  • Engineering, Construction Management, or Architectural degree or equivalent experience
  • Heavy design-build and preconstruction activities experience
  • OSHPD experience required
  • Field construction management experience preferred
  • Leadership ability
  • Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Drafting and computer skills
  • Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting
  • Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement, and estimating)
  • Extensive knowledge and use of OST/Quick Bid
  • Valid driver's license and proof of insurance required

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or 7+ years of progressive experience in the drywall trade preferred
