The Indirect Tax Manager will report to and work directly with the Head of Tax & Treasury. This individual will be the Company's indirect tax subject matter expert, leading global indirect tax compliance and reporting processes and establishing key new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of all global indirect tax matters, including building new, improved compliance and reporting processes.
  • Assess global indirect tax risks and planning opportunities and lead the implementation of recommendations.
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders across the accounting team and beyond.
  • Lead the relationships with external stakeholders on indirect tax matters, including auditors, tax auditors, and advisors.
  • Build new processes to monitor changes in global indirect tax laws and business pipeline.
  • Proactively recommend and implement compliance solutions.
  • Lead on global indirect tax audits and business requests.
  • Lead on the continuous evaluation of technology and automation solutions across all indirect taxes.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' of US sales & use tax experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Whilst some VAT/GST experience is preferred, it is essential that candidates without VAT/GST experience level up quickly and adapt to all relevant global indirect tax requirements.
  • Proficiency in Avalara, Microsoft Excel, and (preferably) Netsuite.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • Chartered accountant (CPA)/tax advisor or equivalent.
  • Mixture of public accounting and private industry experience.
