PureSky Energy Seeks Experienced Tax Director

PureSky Energy, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join its Finance team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all tax reporting requirements, and driving the transition to clean and sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive tax strategies that align with the company's business goals and optimize tax positions.
  • Identify tax savings opportunities and mitigate tax risks through proactive planning and analysis.
  • Provide strategic tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws.
  • Manage the timely and accurate preparation of all tax-related financial reports, including quarterly and annual tax provisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and regulations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure alignment on tax-related matters.
  • Represent the company in tax audits, negotiations, and other tax-related discussions with external authorities.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support tax planning and decision-making processes.
  • Prepare and present tax-related reports to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Monitor and report on key tax metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree (e.g., MST, JD, LLM) preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within the renewable energy or solar industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy development.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and financial reporting tools.
