About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to fill the position of Office Technician at our San Francisco-based HUD Project-Based-Voucher Affordable Housing Apartment Community.

This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to residents, applicants, and vendors. You will be the first point of contact for various stakeholders and will handle tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, scheduling appointments, collecting rent, and posting notices.

The ideal candidate will possess strong office skills, including scanning, faxing, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email. Experience with property management, customer service, and compliance with HUD regulations is essential. Additionally, you should have a friendly and outgoing personality, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Rental Manager with daily tasks and responsibilities
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to residents, vendors, and applicants
  3. Collect and process rental payments
  4. Process rental applications according to company procedure
  5. Enter work orders for necessary repairs
  6. Complete Annual Tax Credit and HUD recertifications
  7. Calculate and verify income for residents
  8. Participate in resident retention activities
  9. Collaborate with maintenance staff and vendors
