Job Description:

Catholic Charities is a leading nonprofit organization serving vulnerable individuals and families in Northern California. We are seeking an experienced Affordable Housing Specialist to join our team.

This role is critical in our efforts to address homelessness by securing affordable housing options for our clients. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the affordable housing market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job:

  • The Affordable Housing Specialist will be responsible for identifying and securing affordable housing options for our clients, working closely with landlords, property managers, and other stakeholders.
  • They will also develop and maintain relationships with local housing authorities, government agencies, and community organizations to ensure access to affordable housing resources.
  • In addition, the specialist will maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and participate in team meetings to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Policy, or a related field;
  • Minimum two years of experience in affordable housing or a related field;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Salary:$70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
