Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Safety and Support Representative to join our team at KVC Health Systems. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to direct care providers by supervising consumers, engaging youth and adults in problem-solving, and assisting with meeting patient needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise unit activity and patient movement to ensure a safe and clean environment.
  • Responsible for keeping the unit safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Familiar with patient goals and able to follow individualized treatment plans provided by a team of professionals.
  • Provide needed supports to youth and adults, including crisis intervention and emergency response planning.
  • Assist with patient supervision and engagement, documenting relevant information on each client.
  • Utilize CMC's HRIS system to keep personal profile up to date, record PTO, and source information on benefits.
  • Provide transportation for patients to visits and other appointments as needed and directed.
  • May assist in meal preparation and laundry as needed and directed.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete all required in-service training and course work on an annual basis.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school.
  • At least one year related experience and/or training, with intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word, and Excel programs.
  • Valid driver's license and valid auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a behavioral health setting or related field focused on serving individuals through trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
  • Experience engaging individuals in behavioral health crises is preferred.
