We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at TRUMPF. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring material requisition and purchasing processes adhere to group standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage local supply shortages and risks, escalating to regional management levels as needed.
  • Implement local cost reduction measures for indirect and direct procurement in collaboration with regional commodity managers.
  • Procure, project, and maintain assigned commodity groups.
  • Prepare data and analysis for relevant projects, presenting to management and staff.
  • Setup long-term slot planning according to regional forecasts.
  • Setup and maintain takted flow lines, including material planning.
  • Support transition to SAP S4HANA.
  • Support local MRP and purchasing functions to harmonize with regional standards.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and provide regular feedback to regional commodity managers.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • One to three years' experience in purchasing, supply chain, procurement, or project management in an industrial environment.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • High self-confidence, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Fluent Spanish, English, and German language skills.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience with material management, inventory control, SAP, and lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Understanding of cost breakdowns.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office programs, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Education

A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in supply chain, industrial engineering, engineering, and/or business, or a suitable combination of education and work experience, is required. An MBA or CSCP/CPIM, CPSM, or SCPro certification is preferred.
