Hitachi Energy is seeking a seasoned sales professional to serve its Hitachi Energy business as an Account Manager and contribute to its Sales team focused on Transport customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop sales strategies for Transport accounts and provide customer insights to drive business growth.
  • Manage sales targets, pipeline management, relationship management, and account planning to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Lead the account planning cycle, ensure customer needs are met, and maintain a strong customer relationship.
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies for accounts, define sales targets, and grow margins for Transport customers.
  • Manage overall and business unit-specific sales targets, account coverage, and customer satisfaction targets for Transport customers.
  • Establish and develop account relationships based on defined strategies and manage meaningful customer engagements.
  • Monitor competitors' activity and formulate response strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Promote frame agreements with customers to simplify business processes and represent products, systems, and services across divisions.
  • Develop and maintain detailed understanding of customer business strategies, purchasing behavior, and organizational structures.
  • Participate in critical project touchpoints, anticipate the need for intervention, and take action to initiate communication.
  • Coordinate the use of internal and/or external resources to introduce meaningful concepts and solutions for Transport customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience or equivalent qualifications.
  • High percentage of travel required.
  • Degrees in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing are preferred.
  • Experience in sales or business development working with clients in the Transport market is required.
  • Candidate must have work authorization permitting them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering-related field is preferred.
  • Recent experience working with power products and solutions is an asset.
  • Experience working with the sales and marketing of Power Distribution products is an asset.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel extensively is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
  • Strong customer relationship skills and exceptional analytical skills are essential.
