Business Development Officer

Nabholz Corporation seeks a seasoned professional to lead our Business Development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, marketing, or sales, with a proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and prioritize regional project opportunities, leveraging local knowledge and connections to drive business growth.
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business development plans, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Measure sales and opportunity results against business development plans, reporting to the manager and modifying plans as necessary.
  • Cultivate relationships with targeted customers, design professionals, and influencers, fostering a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Assist team members in maintaining existing relationships with customers and influencers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Develop and lead presentation strategies for proposals and interviews, effectively communicating the company's value proposition.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director of Business Development and other business development initiatives to develop and implement public relations and marketing strategies.
  • Represent Nabholz at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, showcasing the company's expertise and building brand awareness.
  • Attend evening and weekend events as required, demonstrating a commitment to the role and the company.
  • Assist in identifying key areas of involvement for Nabholz, such as industry organizations, city chambers, boards, and community outreach initiatives.
  • This role is safety-sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in business-to-business sales, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Local knowledge and connections are highly valued.
  • A 4-year college education is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, architects, and industry professionals.
  • Strategic business views, client relationships, and business acumen are essential for success in this role.
  • A proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Strong planning skills, a positive attitude, and a self-motivated approach are necessary to excel in this position.
  • Detailed and accurate monthly expense reports are required.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check, including a driving record.
  • Ability to work remotely and overnight travel is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Bluebeam, online software, CRM software, and marketing applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills and team leadership ability.
  • Strong written communication skills for formal proposals, grants, and similar submissions.
  • Excellent oral communication skills in conversational settings and before large groups.
  • Interpersonal skills with a professional and friendly presentation.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk continuously.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift frequently.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in heat or cold, outside, and in high elevations.
Work Environment:
  • Office, cubicle, workstation, or remote.
