About the Position

The Dedicated Transportation Supervisor plays a crucial role in the management of transportation support staff, including customer service, load planners, administrative assistants, and drivers. This position is responsible for overseeing daily operations, including driver management, route assignment, shipment requests, equipment maintenance, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, including driver management, route assignment, and shipment requests.
  • Manage transportation support staff, including customer service, load planners, and administrative assistants.
  • Coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure efficient operations.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to associates under direct supervision to meet performance goals.
  • Administer safety programs, including video-based safety reviews and coaching.
  • Monitor and report key performance metrics to maximize fleet operations efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Two plus years of experience in related fleet dispatch experience and/or training.
  • Load planning and knowledge of DOT compliance regulations required.
  • Customer service, operations, and/or industrial background preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, speak effectively, and solve practical problems.
  • Good working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
