Job Summary

The Patient Advocate role at Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is a dynamic opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of uninsured hospital patients. As a liaison between patients, hospitals, and government agencies, you will play a critical role in connecting patients to programs that cover their medical expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen uninsured hospital patients to determine eligibility for federal, state, and county medical or disability assistance
  • Complete applications and follow through until approved
  • Document cases accurately and timely in company programs and hospital systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • Participate in ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on government programs and regulations
  • Maintain a structured and timely contact with patients and government agencies
  • Assist patients with gathering documentation and arranging transportation as needed
  • Inform patients of approval or denial of coverage in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Some college coursework preferred
  • Prior hospital experience preferred
  • Adaptability and critical thinking skills
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook
  • Effective communication and multitasking skills
