About the Role

Pursuit Collection is seeking a highly skilled Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and assisting with the planning, execution, and completion of hospitality construction projects in the PNW region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Collaborate with operations and internal stakeholders to perform due diligence on proposed projects, create Request for Proposals for design teams and contractors, and manage design teams to complete comprehensive project plans.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among architects, engineers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Create and monitor project budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, track progress, and adjust as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds company standards, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the procurement process, including the selection of contractors and suppliers.
  • Compliance: Ensure all construction activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Project Closeout: Manage close-out procedures, including documentation, inspection approvals, final payments, and landlord reimbursements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience with large-scale projects and budgets over $1M.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Five plus years working as a project manager for a General Contractor.
  • Experience with projects in National Parks.
  • Understanding of Hospitality operations.
