Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and oversees Project Management Plans (PMP), Configuration Management Plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules for project tasks.
  • Leads and coordinates intricate project teams, ensuring timely delivery within defined scope and budget while maintaining quality standards.
  • Facilitates communication plans for projects, effectively summarizes project status, and collaborates with project leads, sponsors, and IT leadership.
  • Identifies and evaluates project risks, providing consultation on mitigation strategies.
  • Assesses project challenges and implements corrective measures, adjusting baselines as necessary.
  • Promotes project management best practices, offering guidance and support to enhance the project management capabilities of business and IT personnel.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations and reports, providing insights and recommendations on project-related matters.
  • Supports ITR's mission by aligning actions and priorities with core values of Impact, Integrity, Teamwork, Safety, and Service. Advocates for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management, computer science, business management, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant project management experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership capacity, and a solid understanding of IT systems.
  • Proven experience in IT project management, particularly in application development and significant technology upgrades.
  • Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle methodologies, including Agile.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PMI/PMBOK Process Groups and hands-on experience with Integration, scope, time, cost, communication, risk, and stakeholder management.
  • Extensive experience with project planning and management tools, focusing on scope organization, deliverables definition, detailed scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and change control.
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems (SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA) across various business functions, including Supply Chain Management and Procure-to-Pay.
  • Advanced degree in project management, business management, computer science, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are advantageous.
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively in a matrix environment with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels, including executive management.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance.
