Job Summary

Akima Infrastructure Services, LLC (Akima) is seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our staff augmentation team, you will be responsible for leading complex IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope constraints.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute project execution plans, including deliverables, goals, milestones, resource loading, and cost management.
  • Direct and manage project teams, including formulation of project teams, development of project execution plans, and deliverables.
  • Lead complex IT projects through the full project life cycle, including project initiation, project planning, project execution, project monitoring, and project closure.
  • Manage project budgets and resources, ensuring effective allocation and utilization.
  • Participate in departmental management processes, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Develop and maintain project and technical documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Ensure effective communication with and among project stakeholders, including management and customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or information technology discipline, with a minimum of 20+ years of direct experience, or Master's degree with a minimum of 19+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera (P6) proven experience or equivalent tool.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, time management skills, organizational skills, and oral and written skills.
  • Good understanding of risk management, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAFe Certification.
  • Scrum Master Certification.
  • Agile Project Management Certification.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • ServiceNow experience with Agile Development and Project modules.
