Job Overview / Key Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lunch Supervision Coordinator, working under the direct guidance of the Site Administrator, plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during lunch and recess periods. This position involves effective supervision during meal times and play activities, allowing students to engage in safe and enjoyable group interactions.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Oversees students during playtime and meal periods.
  • Maintains a positive and orderly environment in the dining area.
  • Guides students in cultivating good sportsmanship.
  • Encourages respectful interactions among peers.
  • Monitors adherence to safety protocols and implements the school's discipline policies.


  • Assists students in resolving minor disputes on the playground.
  • Reports any unauthorized activities or individuals on school premises to the appropriate authorities.


  • Supports the documentation and reporting of any accidents involving students.
  • Performs additional related duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge Required:

  • Understanding of safety protocols and best practices.
  • Familiarity with health regulations and safe operational procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques.
  • Awareness of district policies and regulations.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to engage effectively with children.
  • Capability to comprehend, implement, and communicate instructions in English, both orally and in writing.

Education and Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
