Assistant General Manager Job Description

TravelCenters of America is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team. As an Assistant General Manager, you will play a key role in the success of our restaurant operations, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our team members are trained and empowered to deliver outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and inspire your team to meet and exceed performance standards, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Customer Service: Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently, with a sincere, positive, and pleasant attitude.
  • Staff Development: Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-quality team members, creating a culture where team members feel respected and recognized for their achievements.
  • Financial Management: Help achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service, and facility processes.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety standards and abide by standards of operation, following company guidelines on vendor relationships.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma (or GED) required.
  • Experience: Supervisory experience in the fast-food industry preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, operational understanding of POS software.
